LSU Gumbo Yearbook 2025 - Book - Page 113
For the first time in Decades, Louisiana had a snow
day. It wasn’t just cold weather and a few flurries.
Real snow poured down across the state as residents sat in their warm homes with hot chocolate,
cider, and anything else. On Tuesday the snow
started, LSU students across Baton Rouge spent
their entire day outside. Many had never seen
snow or it had been a long time since they had
encountered it. Snow fights, Snow Men, and Snow
Angels popped up all across
campus. As the snow died down, hundreds of students spent their afternoon walking around campus in a frosty haze or played with their friends.
Some students near the Union began to have a
party, and like the good southerners they are,
began to
linedance. The snow day was a happy and welcome break for LSU students, and a truly once in a
lifetime memory.
