LSU Gumbo Yearbook 2025 - Book - Page 115
When the Mardi Gras season hits,
LSU knows how to party. All Mardi Gras
Season there are events, king cake,
and more, but it’s the Mardi Gras
Mambo that is the pinnacle of LSU
Mardi Gras. In the days leading up to
Mardi Gras Break, LSU holds a festival in
Tower Drive. Full of food, music, games,
and attractions. All kinds of King Cakes
were being passed out, Traditional,
strawberry, cream cheese, and more.
The Mardi Gras Indians, like every year,
made an appearance. Their colorful,
hand sewn costumes shone in the
sunlight as they danced and
greeted students. Over three
thousand students showed up, many
who were getting the first taste of what
Mardi Gras was like. The Mardi Gras
Mambo was a great way for students
to spend time leading up to the break.
