Society of Peer Mentors
(SPM)
Society of Peer Mentors (SPM) is a student organization that focuses on
mentoring and leadership in the LSU College of Engineering. SPM hosts
events such as Geaux Engineering (a signature program of Welcome Week)
and the Louisiana Collegiate Design Competition (LCDC). Members participate in general body meetings, conduct K-12 STEM outreach, play on
several different intramural sports teams, and attend professional development workshops led by alumni and industry representatives. Annual
events include the overnight mentor retreat at Fontainebleau State Park
and a Leadership Workshop.
